How many family members are covered under my membership?

Does my age prevent me from becoming a member?
Age has no bearing on membership; you can be any age to join.
Can I sign up if I am not a South African citizen?
Yes, you can join as long as you have a passport or some form of official and valid identification.
Is there a waiting period after joining?
There is no waiting period, your benefits commence as soon as your membership is active and your first payment has been processed.
When do my benefits start?
Your membership will be active within 72 hours of confirmation of registration and payment.
How many times can I speak to a nurse?
The member may phone as many times as they would like for nurse consultations, this includes the entire family.
If I have an existing chronic condition or am sick are there any exclusions.
Can I cancel the package at any time?
Yes, you can.
Is there any limit to the number of doctors I can see?
There is a vast network of private Doctors that a member will have access to. The member and his/her family will be entitled to get a 20% discount on doctor visits from doctors in this network. The member will have to call the call centre and we will find out where the member and/or family is and give the names of the doctors nearby that will give them the discount. The discount is only 10% for dentists but works the same way.d.
Where can I get a list of participating doctors and what areas are they in?
We have over 3500 private GP's on our network. Our network covers all of South Africa, including rural areas, so we will always find a doctor that is conveniently located for you.
Do I require a membership card or number to visit the doctor?
You do not need a membership card. All you need to do is call us when you need the services and give us your cell number and ID and will will do the rest.
Will I receive a cashback if I do not use it?
There is no cash back option
What is the discount on optometrists and what can I get?
10% Discount on consultation fee, lenses and frames. The optometry network will offer the members 3 package deals as promotions during the year.

How many times can I go to the optometrist?
There will be no limits to the number of consultations. The offer will be available to the member and the extended family of such member not being dependent on cohabitation.
How do I get trauma counselling?
Once you have contacted us we will get a counsellor to call you back. This is telephonic counselling.
Can I call anytime?
The call centre runs 24/7/365 and we speak all 11 official languages to make sure you can speak in the language of your choice.
